Welcoming to all outdoor enthusiasts, Cherry Creek State Park is a great spot for fishing. Located conveniently in the urban south Denver area, the park offers plenty of places to park and good bathroom facilities.

The trail is well-maintained and easily accessible, and there are multiple locations you can fish at. There are also water pumps, shops, drinking fountains, and sinks in the bathrooms.

The campgrounds appear popular with park personnel constantly visible monitoring for safety and maintenance conditions. Even though we didn't catch any fish ourselves, we saw quite a few large ones' surfaces – so it's definitely worth a try if you're looking for some fresh catches!

Swimming, boating, and other outdoor activities are available too, as well as an off-leash dog park which was an added bonus.

The scenery around the reservoir is beautiful all year round; you can spot deer roaming around at dawn or dusk as well as white pelicans flying overhead during the day.

The water levels can be low but they can still provide plenty of opportunities for fishing if you know what you're looking for. The range fees are reasonable too making this place accessible to everyone!

The park rangers are very helpful, giving visitors advice on where to fish in the area. Some have even caught largemouth bass in the waters!
