The only downside about our visit was some of the veggies for the hummus plate were wilted near bad; everything else though tasted spot on! My friend had the garlic and tomato flatbread with prosciutto which really brought out all of its flavors – Mediterranean fare in a hip haunt indeed!

14. Chez Maggy
CHez Maggy is a modern French restaurant located in downtown Denver.
It has a cozy bistro feel and offers brunch, steakhouse, and patisserie options. The atmosphere was great and our waitress Su was very attentive.
The food was incredible! We had the onion soup which had amazing flavor and good texture. The endive salad was also excellent. For entrees, we had the Sole which was juicy with delicious sauces, as well as the lamb chops, trout, mussels, duck, escargot and carrot salad.
The mussels were well prepared but it is a large dish so it's better shared. The omelet and green salad were cooked perfectly with creamy Boursin cheese while the tartare topped with sweet potato chips added a perfect touch. Everything tasted fine except for the carrot salad which was a bit weak and difficult to eat (pieces were too long).
For dessert we had the Paris Brest filled with decadent hazelnut cream that made us melt! As we were paying, the chef brought out an extra from the kitchen that was much appreciated.
Chez Maggy is worth visiting for a special occasion or just for a quick stop to try their amazing French onion soup!
